Polka Dots was opened on Whitemarsh Island in Savannah, Georgia in 2008 by Jackie Pickering when she realized that there was a real need for a local shop where people could find cute and reasonably priced gifts. Over the years the store has become a local favorite where the employees make a real effort to get to know the customers and try to help them to find the perfect gift. The ladies who work at Polka Dots have become a family over the years and they make every effort to bring the customers into that family.
Polka Dots carries such national brands as Mudpie, Scout, Capri Blue, Bridgewater, Smathers and Branson, Cat Studio, Nora Fleming, Coton Colors, and Jelly Cats. We also strive to carry many local brands and artist's creations. If you see something on our Social Media that is not on the website, please call the store! In March of 2018 The Gift Shoppe by Polka Dots was opened on Broughton Street in Historic Savannah. It's a teeny, tiny space that houses a whole lot of great merchandise that appeals to both the tourists and locals. It is a one-stop-shop for Capital Bee Honey, Savannah Candy Kitchen, and a lot of great art by talented locals.
